WELCOME TO PINNACLE BASKETBALL
Pinnacle Basketball’s Player Development Program is designed to increase players intellectual ability and physical capacity of the sport. This goal is met each session by engaging in purposeful and intentional game like scenarios to ensure various skills are transferred to authentic game play. Sessions are uniquely designed for individual players ability and skill level.
Todd Cooper is a former basketball player and current player development coach. He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1998, participating in two state finals.
He played college basketball at St. Thomas More Prep, American International College (DII), SUNY Cobleskill (JUCO), and Rust College (NAIA), before fulfilling his dream of playing professionally in Mexico's Cipacopa League.
As a coach, Todd has learned from notable figures like Ganon Baker, Jerry Powell, NBA champion Phil Handy, and Billy Bayno. His coaching experience spans DII junior college, high school, and Nike EYBL level. In addition to that, he’s coached at the professional level in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) with Rajawali Medan.

Jalen Davis
a former NCAA DII coach and standout player at Concordia College. Jalen ranks 4th all-time in scoring and 3rd in rebounds, assists, steals, and 3-point FGM at Concordia, where he was a three-year captain and two-time CACC All-Conference honoree. He now works as a Senior Business Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP and holds a Master’s in Leadership.
Oneisha Staples
Mount Saint Mary College’s all-time leading scorer (1,672 pts), she was a two-time All-American and three-time Skyline Conference Player of the Year, helping lead the team to four straight conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances. With over 20 years of coaching experience at the AAU, high school, and college levels, Coach Staples is known for developing confident, skilled athletes through fundamentals and heart.
Notable Player
Enrolling our daughters with Coach Cooper was the best decision we've ever made. Our older daughter's basketball journey is a testament to his coaching. Initially, she barely saw playing time on her AAU team, which was incredibly frustrating. Coach Cooper's guidance completely transformed her game.
She not only made her high school varsity team, but also earned a scholarship to the prestigious Storm King Prep School.
As her confidence grew, she managed to have stellar performances against some of NYC’s top AAU programs such as New Heights and Gauchos.
Currently at Johnson & Wales University, she's a starter and currently one of the country’s leaders in three-point shooting as a freshman. We only wish we'd connected with Coach Cooper sooner!
Now, our younger daughter is benefiting from his expertise, and she's already made her high school varsity team as a 7th grader.
